Shi, Jiale published the artcileMetal-Free Heterogeneous Semiconductor for Visible-Light Photocatalytic Decarboxylation of Carboxylic Acids, Recommanded Product: 4-Methoxyphenylacetic acid, the main research area is aliphatic hetero aromatic arene preparation; hetero aromatic aliphatic acid hydrodecarboxylation photocatalyst; deuteride aliphatic hetero aromatic arene preparation; aromatic hetero aliphatic acid decarboxylative deuteration photocatalyst; diaryl methane preparation; carboxylic acid hetero aryl cyanide decarboxylative arylation photocatalyst.

A suitable protocol for the photocatalytic decarboxylation of carboxylic acids RC(O)OH (R = 3,5-dimethylphenyl, 2-(4-methylphenyl)ethyl, diphenylmethyl, isoquinolin-1-yl, etc.) was developed with metal-free ceramic boron carbon nitrides (BCN). With visible light irradiation, BCN oxidizes carboxylic acids to give carbon-centered radicals, which were trapped by hydrogen atom donors or employed in the construction of the carbon-carbon bond. In this system, both (hetero)aromatic and aliphatic acids proceed through the decarboxylation smoothly; and C-H, C-D, and C-C bonds are formed in moderate to high yields (35 examples, yield up to 93%). Control experiments support a radical process, and isotopic experiments show that methanol is employed as the hydrogen atom donor. Recycling tests and a gram-scale reaction elucidate the practicability of the heterogeneous ceramic BCN photoredox system. It provides an alternative to homogeneous catalysts in the valuable carbon radical intermediates formation. Moreover, the metal-free system is also applicable to late-stage functionalization of anti-inflammatory drugs, such as naproxen and ibuprofen, which enrich the chem. toolbox.

A simple, efficient and environmentally benign method has been discussed for the synthesis of aldehydes and ketones by the oxidative decarboxylation of phenylacetic acid under ligand free condition using simple, efficient, preparatively easy, magnetically recoverable and low cost spinel CuFe2O4 nanoparticles. The catalyst was characterized using powder-XRD, FTIR, FE-SEM, EDX, VSM and HRTEM. The recyclability was examined and the results showed that the catalyst remained almost equally active up to five consecutive cycles. Kaal, Joeri published the artcileOrigin of dissolved organic matter in the Harz Mountains (Germany): A thermally assisted hydrolysis and methylation (THM-GC-MS) study, Related Products of isoquinoline, the main research area is dissolved organic matter thermally assisted hydrolysis and methylation Germany.

Environmental change is increasing the concentration of dissolved organic matter (DOM) in catchments of the Northern Hemisphere. This study aims to assess the causes of high DOM concentrations in streams and reservoirs of the Harz National Park (Germany), by means of mol. characterization using thermally assisted hydrolysis and methylation (THM-GC-MS). In order to formulate proxies of the prevailing origin of the numerous THM products of polyphenols, carbohydrates, proteins, aliphatic macromols., resins and other DOM precursors, we created a reference sample set of potential sources (spruce, birch, blueberry, heather, peat moss, soils) from the area. THM compounds that tend to be more abundant in WEOM than in BOM are G-type phenolic compounds (1,2-dimethoxybenzenes, from lignin and tannin), nitrogen-containing moieties and benzene carboxylic acids, whereas WEOM is depleted in products of polysaccharides, syringyl lignin and aliphatic macromols. (cutin and suberin). The lignin fingerprint of the WEOM also differs significantly from that of BOM, being depleted in the vast majority of the typical products of macromol. lignin (G7, G8, G14, G15) and enriched in the acid moiety (G6, predominantly from vanillic acid), especially for spruce wood. This may indicate a major role of DOM released from decaying spruce logs and forest soils. The results highlight both the potential and the pitfalls associated with source identification of DOM using THM-GC-MS.

Abstract: Aberrant activation of ERK signaling pathway usually leads to oncogenesis, and small mol. agents targeting this pathway are impeded by the emergence of drug resistance due to reactivation of ERK signaling. Compound DEL-22379 has been reported to inhibit ERK dimerization which was unaffected by drug-resistant mechanism reactivating the ERK signaling. Here, we discussed a structure-activity relationship study of DEL-22379. Forty-seven analogs were designed and synthesized. Each synthesized compound was biol. evaluated for their inhibitory rates on several tumor cell lines and compounds with high inhibitory rates were further evaluated for IC50 values. The structure-activity relationship of idolin-2-one scaffold and the impact of Z/E configuration on potency were discussed. Potential safety of two synthesized analogs was investigated and in silico docking study of five compounds was performed to understand the structural basis of ERK dimerization inhibition. Ishihara, Kazuaki published the artcileEnantio- and Site-Selective α-Fluorination of N-Acyl 3,5-Dimethylpyrazoles Catalyzed by Chiral π-CuII Complexes, Safety of 4-Methoxyphenylacetic acid, the main research area is enantioselective regioselective fluorination acyldimethylpyrazole chiral pi copper complex; asymmetric catalysis; copper; fluorination; pyrazoles; π-cation interactions.

Catalytic enantioselective α-fluorination reactions of carbonyl compounds are among the most powerful and efficient synthetic methods for constructing optically active α-fluorinated carbonyl compounds Nevertheless, α-fluorination of α-nonbranched carboxylic acid derivatives is still a big challenge because of relatively high pKa values of their α-hydrogen atoms and difficulty of subsequent synthetic transformation without epimerization. Herein we show that chiral copper(II) complexes of 3-(2-naphthyl)-L-alanine-derived amides are highly effective catalysts for the enantio- and site-selective α-fluorination of N-(α-arylacetyl) and N-(α-alkylacetyl) 3,5-dimethylpyrazoles [e.g., I → II (99%, 91% ee)]. The substrate scope of the transformation is very broad (25 examples including a quaternary α-fluorinated α-amino acid derivative). α. α-Fluorinated products were converted into the corresponding esters, secondary amides, tertiary amides, ketones, and alcs. with almost no epimerization in high yield.
