Chemical Engineering Journal (Amsterdam, Netherlands) published new progress about Explosives. 1455-77-2 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 3,5-Diamino-1,2,4-triazole, and the molecular formula is C2H5N5, HPLC of Formula: 1455-77-2.

Xu, Jian-Gang published the artcileEnergetic azide-based coordination polymers: Sensitivity tuning through diverse structural motifs, HPLC of Formula: 1455-77-2, the main research area is energetic azide based coordination polymer structural analysis sensitivity.

Energetic coordination polymers (ECPs), as a new class of energetic materials (EMs), have attracted extensive attention in recent years. However, controllable modulation of mech. sensitivities and the establishment of structure-function theor. models of ECPs to meet different applications remain great challenges. Herein, we designed and synthesized four azide-based ECPs, [Cd2(N3)2(datz)2]n 1 (Hdatz = 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole), [Cd(N3)2(brt)2]n 2 (brt = 4,4â€?bi-1,2,4-triazole), [Cd(N3)2(btzp)]n 3 (btzp = 1,3-di(tetrazol-1-yl)propane), and [Cd2(N3)4(btzb)]n 4 (btzb = 1,4-bis(tetrazol-1-yl)butane). Because of the existence of consolidated network structures, high-energy linkers, and diverse structural motifs, compounds 1-4 exhibit reliable thermal stabilities, tunable mech. sensitivities, and considerable heats of detonation (ΔHdet) with the ΔHdet values of 3.390, 3.412, 3.947 and 4.504 kJ·g-1, resp., which are two times higher than those of com. LA (lead azide) and the reported AgMtta (AgMtta = [Ag(Mtta)]n, HMtta = 5-methyl-1H-tetrazole). The sensitivity measurements demonstrate that the sensitivity toward impact of 1-4 displays in the following order: 1 (>40 J) â‰?2 (8 J) < 3 (2.5 J) < 4 (2 J). In particular, compound 1 features scarce insensitivity compared with sensitive 2, 3, 4 and most of known azide-based EMs. Furthermore, theor. calculations, structural analyses, and exptl. results revealed that the different sensitivities of the four ECPs are mainly dependent on two different structure models for the first time. The insensitive 1 is ""body frame structure"" model, while the sensitive 2-4 belong to ""non-body frame structure"" model. Our study enlightens new insights into structures behind mech. sensitivities for optimizing advanced EMs.

In this paper, the interface polymerization method was used to prepare Osmanthus essential oil microcapsules. The optimal preparation process of Osmanthus essential oil microcapsules was explored as follows: the dosage ratio of Osmanthus essential oil to N100 was 6:1, the reaction temperature was 70°C, and the reaction time was 2 h. The encapsulation efficiency of Osmanthus essential oil microcapsules could reach 80.31%. The particle size distribution, morphol., chem. structure, and thermal stability of the obtained microcapsules were characterized by laser particle size analyzer, SEM, Fourier transform IR spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric anal. The release kinetics and storage stability experiments of the microcapsules were studied. The results showed that the average volume diameter of the microcapsules was 101.2 μm. The microcapsules were in the shape of full spheres, with a smooth surface, low viscosity, and high elasticity. Microencapsulation improved the thermal stability of Osmanthus essential oil and promoted the slow release of essential oil. The synthesized microcapsules showed good storage stability under refrigerated and dark conditions, which indicated that microcapsules had broad application prospects in food, medicine, and other fields. Practical Application : In this study, we prepared a polyurea membrane to encapsulate Osmanthus essential oil microcapsules by interfacial polymerization The encapsulation conditions of the microcapsules were optimized and the structure of the microcapsules was characterized in this study. The results showed that microcapsules had a full spherical shape with a smooth surface, high elasticity, good sustained-release ability, good thermal stability, and storage stability. These properties indicated that microcapsules have good application prospects and can be used as a high-quality flavor with a long residual effect and high thermal stability for food and cosmetic scope.

Lee, Minju’s team published research in Environmental Science & Technology in 2017-01-03 | CAS: 117-96-4

Environmental Science & Technology published new progress about Conformers. 117-96-4 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is Diatrizoic Acid, and the molecular formula is C11H9I3N2O4, Recommanded Product: Diatrizoic Acid.

Lee, Minju published the artcileAbatement of Polychoro-1,3-butadienes in Aqueous Solution by Ozone, UV Photolysis, and Advanced Oxidation Processes (O3/H2O2 and UV/H2O2), Recommanded Product: Diatrizoic Acid, the main research area is polychorobutadiene water hydrogen peroxide ozone UV photolysis.

The abatement of 9 polychloro-1,3-butadienes (CBDs) in aqueous solution by ozone, UV-C(254 nm) photolysis, and the corresponding advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) (i.e., O3/H2O2 and UV/H2O2) was investigated. The following parameters were determined for 9 CBDs: Second-order rate constants for the reactions of CBDs with ozone (kO3) (< 0.1 - 7.9×103 M-1s-1) or with hydroxyl radicals (k•OH) (0.9×109 - 6.5×109 M-1s-1), photon fluence-based rate constants (k') (210 - 2730 m2 einstein-1), and quantum yields (Φ) (0.03 - 0.95 mol einstein-1). During ozonation of CBDs in a natural groundwater, appreciable abatements ( > 50% at specific ozone doses of 0.5 gO3/gDOC to âˆ?00% at â‰?1.0 gO3/gDOC) were achieved for tetra-CBDs followed by (Z)-1,1,2,3,4-penta-CBD and hexa-CBD. This is consistent with the magnitude of the determined kO3 and k•OH. The formation of bromate, a potentially carcinogenic ozonation byproduct, could be significantly reduced by addition of H2O2. For a typical UV disinfection dose (400 J/m2), various extents of phototransformations (10-90%) could be achieved. However, the efficient formation of photoisomers from CBDs with E/Z configuration must be taken into account because of their potential residual toxicity. Under UV-C(254 nm) photolysis conditions, no significant effect of H2O2 addition on CBDs abatement was observed due to an efficient direct phototransformation of CBDs.

Water Research published new progress about Combustion. 117-96-4 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is Diatrizoic Acid, and the molecular formula is C11H9I3N2O4, Category: isoquinoline.

Sayess, Rassil published the artcileAn improved method for total organic iodine in drinking water, Category: isoquinoline, the main research area is total organic iodine drinking water detection method; Analytical techniques; Drinking water; ICP-MS; Iodinated disinfection by-products; Total organic iodine.

A concise, rapid, and sensitive method is developed to measure organically-bound iodine in water. Total organic iodine (TOI) is used as an integrative surrogate that reflects the amount of iodinated organics in a water sample and is quantified using a refined method that builds on previous adsorption and detection approaches. The proposed method combines adsorption, combustion, and trapping of combustion products, with an offline inductively coupled plasma/mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) for iodide detection. During method development, three anal. variables (factors) were varied across two levels each in order to optimize the method for iodine recovery: 1) the sample pH prior to adsorption on the granular activated carbon (GAC); 2) the amount of base addition to the trap solution; and 3) composition of the ICP-MS wash solution These factors were tested with solutions of eight iodinated model organic compounds, two iodinated inorganic compounds, and field water samples using a full factorial exptl. design. An anal. of variance (ANOVA) and related statistical methods were deployed to identify the best combination of conditions (i.e., treatment) that results in the most complete recovery of iodine from the model compounds and the highest rejection of inorganic iodine. The chosen treatment for TOI measurement incorporates a sample pH of less than 1 prior to adsorption onto the GAC, a solution of 2% (volume/volume) tetra-Me ammonium hydroxide (TMAH) for trapping of combustion products, and a TMAH wash solution of 0.1% (volume/volume) for the ICP-MS.

Ammonium perchlorate (AP) is a common oxidizer in composite solid rocket propellants due to its excellent burning characteristics, good processability, and storability. Owing to their outstanding catalytic effects, ferrocene, and its derivatives have become the most widely used burning rate catalysts (BRCs). The addition of ferrocene and its derivatives to AP rendered performance optimization. In this study, azole-based ferrocenyl compounds were successfully synthesized. The compounds were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, UV-vis spectroscopy, and other techniques. The thermal degradation of AP catalyzed by these compounds was evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric anal. Results revealed that the decomposition peak temperature of AP dramatically decreases and that the released heat of AP significantly increases with the new compounds as additives. Hence, the six azole-based ferrocenyl BR catalysts are favorable for the combustion catalytic activity.
