The residue was basified by adding sodium hydroxide solution, treated with ethyl acetate (200 mL), washed with brine, dried (MgSO4), filtered, and concentrated. The concentrate was purified by flash column chromatography on silica gel with 30% ethyl acetate/hexane to provide the title compound (0.81 g, 50%). MS (DCI/NH3) m/e 244 (M+H)+.
