Bello, Patrice published the artcileUpping fragrance intensity via cyclodextrins: expert noses and headspace/SPME-GC confirm effects, Recommanded Product: 2-Methyl-3-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)propionaldehyde, the main research area is cosmetics cyclodextrin perfume skin fragrance volatile compound.

The aim of the study is efficacy and potential benefits of cyclodextrins in delivering fragrances with and without CDs were compared using headspace/solid-phase microextraction gas chromatog. All measurements and assessments were carried out on the volar forearms(s) of one Caucasian subject in a controlled environment: 25 ± 1°C and 30% ± 5% relative humidity. GC test protocol: The GC test protocol included: 1) washing the subject′s forearm three times with ethanol and allowing it to air-dry: 2) spraying 200 mg of a test EdT three times and allowing it to air-dry for 2 min; 3) a 20-min stabilization phase: 4) a 20-min extraction phase; 5) a 2-min desorption phase; and 6) CO-MS anal. To trap gas, a glass bell jar (105 cm3) was used, along with a syringe incorporating an SPME fiber in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), to absorb volatile compounds Olfactory test: The olfactory test procedure involved washing both of the subject′s forearms three times with ethanol and allowing them to air-dry, then spraying -200 mg of a test EdT three times and allowing it to air-dry for 2 min. Twenty perfume experts then smelled the two forearms to make assessments. Measurements and assessments were performed every- three hours to determine the perfume evolution on skin. Results from the headspace/SPME-GC anal. indicated that initially (T0), the fragrance samples with and without CD had the same perfume intensity. Three hours later, however (T+3 h), the CD-containing perfume was approx. 50% more intense than the perfume without CD.

Imines or Schiff bases (SB) are formed by the condensation of an aldehyde or a ketone with a primary amine, with the removal of a water mol. Schiff bases are central mols. in several biol. processes for their ability to form and cleave by small variation of the medium. We report here the controlled hydrolysis of four SBs that may be applied in the fragrance industry, as they are profragrances all containing odorant mols.: Me anthranilate as primary amine, and four aldehydes (cyclamal, helional, hydroxycitronellal and triplal) that are very volatile odorants. The SB stability was assessed over time by HPLC-MS in neutral or acidic conditions, both in solution and when trapped in low mol. weight gels. Our results demonstrate that it is possible to control the hydrolysis of the Schiff bases in the gel environment, thus tuning the quantity of aldehyde released and the persistency of the fragrance.

In this work, the vapor-liquid equilibrium of binary and multinary systems comprise perfume raw materials and ionic liquids have been computed using two different models: COSMO-RS, a solvation model, and UNIFAC, a group contribution method. For systems already well-known in the literature, a comparison with exptl. data was performed, and good agreement was observed with both models. Although UNIFAC was not applicable to nonparametrized ionic liquids, COSMO-RS proved very reliable in predicting the vapor-liquid equilibrium of solutions of perfume raw materials in new-to-the-world ionic liquids This opens the door for the prediction and modeling of new formulations for novel consumer products, prior to embarking on detailed exptl. investigations.

Haykal, Tarek’s team published research in Journal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology in 2019-07-31 | CAS: 104-01-8

Journal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology published new progress about Digestive system hemorrhage. 104-01-8 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 4-Methoxyphenylacetic acid, and the molecular formula is C9H10O3, Quality Control of 104-01-8.

Haykal, Tarek published the artcileSafety and efficacy of aspirin for primary prevention of cancer: a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials, Quality Control of 104-01-8, the main research area is meta analysis cancer aspirin safety efficacy; Aspirin; Bleeding; Cancer; Primary prevention.

Meta-anal. of In the United States, cancer is the second leading cause of mortality, and millions more battle cancer worldwide. As such, primary prevention of cancer is a major interest globally. Aspirin has been studied as a primary prevention method for multiple diseases, mainly cardiovascular disease and various forms of cancer. The role of aspirin as a primary prevention of cancer is still controversial and may be more beneficial in certain cancers over others. With rapidly surfacing large randomized controlled trials (RCTs) studying this subject, we aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of aspirin as a primary prophylaxis for cancer. A comprehensive electronic database search was conducted for all RCTs that compared aspirin vs. placebo for the prevention of any type of disease, and where cancer incidence or mortality was reported. The primary outcome was cancer related mortality. Secondary outcomes were cancer incidence, all-cause mortality, major bleeding, any bleeding and gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding. We calculated risk ratios (RRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) using a random-effects model at the longest follow-up period. We included 16 RCTs with 104,018 total patients, mean age of 60.51 years, mean follow-up of 5.48 years, and a male percentage of 38.72%. We found that aspirin was not associated with a significant reduction of cancer-related mortality compared with placebo (RR 0.99; 95% CI: 0.87-1.12; P = 0.85: I2 = 41%). Compared with placebo, aspirin was not associated with significant reduction of all-cause mortality (RR 0.97; 95% CI: 0.92-1.02; P = 0.19; I2 = 13%) or cancer incidence (RR: 0.98; 95% CI: 0.92-1.04; P = 0.43; I2 = 16%). However, aspirin treatment was associated with significantly increased risks of any bleeding (RR 1.63; 95% CI: 1.31-2.03; P < 0.01), major bleeding (RR 1.41; 95% CI: 1.26-1.57; P < 0.01), and GI bleeding (RR 1.85; 95% CI: 1.38-2.48; P < 0.01) compared with placebo. Our study did not find any significant reductions in cancer-related mortality or cancer incidence when compared aspirin use with placebo or no aspirin. Our study also highlights that the use of aspirin for primary prevention of cancer was found to cause higher rates of bleeding (any bleeding, major bleeding, and GI bleeding) compared to placebo or no aspirin at the longest follow-up period with no significant benefit in cancer primary prevention. A new method for the synthesis of chiral diene Rh catalysts is introduced. The readily available racemic tetrafluorobenzobarrelene complexes [(R2-TFB)RhCl]2 were separated into two enantiomers via selective coordination of one of them with the auxiliary S-salicyl-oxazoline ligand. One of the resulting chiral complexes with an exceptionally bulky diene ligand [(R,R-iPr2-TFB)RhCl]2 was an efficient catalyst for the asym. insertion of diazoesters into B-H and Si-H bonds giving the functionalized organoboranes and silanes with high yields (79-97%) and enantiomeric purity (87-98% ee). The stereoselectivity of separation via auxiliary ligand and that of the catalytic reaction was predicted by DFT calculations
