The synthesis of diethyl 2-(aryl)vinylphosphonate through direct Heck coupling reaction of the diethyl vinylphosphonate with aryl or heteroaryl halides catalysed by solid materials ([Pd(NH3)4]/NaY, Pd/C, PdO/SiO2) is reported.
