With the rapid development and complex challenges of chemical substances, new drug synthesis pathways are usually the most effective.223671-15-6,7-Bromoisoquinolin-1-ol,as a common compound, the synthetic route is as follows.

A suspension [OF 7-BROMO-1-HYDROXYISOQUINOLINE] (7.02g, 28. [2MMOL)] in dimethylformamide [(75ML)] was treated with 4-bromomethylbenzoic acid tert- butyl ester (12.5g, 36.7mmol) and cesium carbonate [(11.] 94g, 36.7mmol), then stirred overnight at room temperature. The dimethylformamide was evaporated in vacuo, the residue diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with IN HC1, the organic portion washed with brine, dried over [MGS04] and evaporated to dryness. The residue was triturated with hot hexanes/ethyl acetate, cooled to room temperature, and the solid collected by filtration and dried to give 8.77g of the product as white crystals (75.7% yield).
