Schneider, A.-L. published the artcileElectrochemical oxidation of iodinated X-ray contrast media by boron-doped diamond electrodes, Safety of Diatrizoic Acid, the main research area is electrochem oxidation iodinated boron diamond electrode.

Iodinated X-ray contrast media (IXCM) represent widespread water pollutants due to their poor elimination by common wastewater treatment techniques such as aerobic and anaerobic biodegradation In this study, we demonstrate the removal of six IXCM (iotalamic acid, iopamidol, iohexol, iopromide, iomeprol and diatrizoate) by electrochem. treatment with boron-doped diamond electrodes. Experiments were performed with model solutions and field water samples. Electrochem. treatment of IXCM in synthetic solution resulted in complete deiodination and generation of the oxidation product iodate. We observed a dissolved organic carbon (DOC) decrease of 30%-80% in IXCM solutions, indicating partial mineralization. Electrochem. IXCM degradation followed pseudo-first-order kinetics. In experiments with surface water and effluent from a wastewater treatment plant, successful degradation of IXCM was achieved despite the high DOC background. These results demonstrate that electrochem. treatment is a promising method for IXCM removal. Further studies into biodegradation of transformation products are recommended.

Farhat, Ali’s team published research in Environmental Science & Technology in 2015-12-15 | CAS: 117-96-4

Environmental Science & Technology published new progress about Current density. 117-96-4 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is Diatrizoic Acid, and the molecular formula is C11H9I3N2O4, HPLC of Formula: 117-96-4.

Farhat, Ali published the artcileRemoval of Persistent Organic Contaminants by Electrochemically Activated Sulfate, HPLC of Formula: 117-96-4, the main research area is persistent organic contaminant electrochem activated sulfate wastewater.

Solutions of sulfate have often been used as background electrolytes in the electrochem. degradation of contaminants and have been generally considered inert even when high-oxidation-power anodes such as boron-doped diamond (BDD) were employed. This study examines the role of sulfate by comparing electro-oxidation rates for seven persistent organic contaminants at BDD anodes in sulfate and inert nitrate anolytes. Sulfate yielded electro-oxidation rates 10-15 times higher for all target contaminants compared to the rates of nitrate anolyte. This electrochem. activation of sulfate was also observed at concentrations as low as 1.6 mM, which is relevant for many wastewaters. Electrolysis of diatrizoate in the presence of specific radical quenchers (tert-butanol and methanol) had a similar effect on electro-oxidation rates, illustrating a possible role of the hydroxyl radical (•OH) in the anodic formation of sulfate radical (SO4•-) species. The addition of 0.55 mM persulfate increased the electro-oxidation rate of diatrizoate in nitrate from 0.94 to 9.97 h-1, suggesting a nonradical activation of persulfate. Overall findings indicate the formation of strong sulfate-derived oxidant species at BDD anodes when polarized at high potentials. This may have pos. implications in the electro-oxidation of wastewaters containing sulfate. For example, the energy required for the 10-fold removal of diatrizoate was decreased from 45.6 to 2.44 kWh m-3 by switching from nitrate to sulfate anolyte.

Cellulose (Dordrecht, Netherlands) published new progress about Cotton textiles. 1455-77-2 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 3,5-Diamino-1,2,4-triazole, and the molecular formula is C2H5N5, Product Details of C2H5N5.

Liu, Mingsheng published the artcileAn efficient anti-flaming phosphorus-containing guanazole derivative for cotton fabric, Product Details of C2H5N5, the main research area is guanazole flaming phosphorus cotton fabric.

A high-efficiency, halogen-free flame retardant: ammonium salt of guanazole-penta-(methylphosphonic acid) (AGPMPA) was synthesized in water solution under a mild reaction condition. The chem. structure of AGPMPA was characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and 31P NMR spectra. Vertical burning tests showed that cotton fabrics treated with 20%, 25% and 30% AGPMPA cannot be ignited, and the shortest carbon length reaches 2.9 cm for 30% treated cotton. The limiting oxygen indexes of the treated cottons go up to 43.7-47.9% with the increases of AGPMPA concentrations and are still beyond 26.8% even after 50 laundering cycles, indicating that AGPMPA is a superior, durable flame retardant. Simultaneously, cone calorimeter data indicate that the heat release rate and the total heat release of treated cotton was remarkably decreased compared with those of control cotton. The TG-IR results indicate that the amounts of volatile products are prominently reduced, and the degradation temperature of treated cotton is lower than that of control cotton. The residual amounts of 46.1% in N2 gas and 31.6% in air for treated cotton fabric were attained, resp. No noteworthy change for the surface of treated cotton fiber was observed by SEM. The mech. properties of cotton fabrics before and after treatment have barely changed. These results proved that eco-friendly AGPMPA is an effective anti-flaming agent and has excellent durability.

Cai, Luyun published the artcileChange regularity of the characteristics of Maillard reaction products derived from xylose and Chinese shrimp waste hydrolysates, Synthetic Route of 21834-92-4, the main research area is Fenneropenaeus waste hydrolyzate xylose Maillard reaction product sensory property.

Chinese shrimp waste hydrolyzates (CSWHs) with or without xylose were heated with increasing time (0-180 min) at 115 °C, pH 8.0, to explored characteristics of Maillard reaction and the rules for the formation of flavor in hydrolyzates. The results suggested that CSWHs could be modified by Maillard reaction and exhibited stronger pleasant flavor than thermal degradation at proper heating time. During Maillard reaction, significant changes in Maillard reaction products (MRPs) were found, such as the accumulation of intermediate/browning/fluorescent products, the presentation of tempting reddish-brown, compared to Thermal degradation products (TDPs). Meanwhile, a series of volatile compounds and amino acids were found in MRPs, and combined with sensory evaluation, the MRPs exhibited strong meaty and seafood aroma as well as umami and mouthfulness taste. Therefore, Chinese shrimp waste could potentially be used to produce flavoring essence with strong enticing flavor and color.

Kastenberg, David’s team published research in World Journal of Gastroenterology in 2017 | CAS: 117-96-4

World Journal of Gastroenterology published new progress about Body mass index. 117-96-4 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is Diatrizoic Acid, and the molecular formula is C11H9I3N2O4, Formula: C11H9I3N2O4.

Kastenberg, David published the artcileMulticenter, randomized study to optimize bowel preparation for colon capsule endoscopy, Formula: C11H9I3N2O4, the main research area is bowel preparation colon capsule endoscopy drug safety; Bowel preparation; Capsule colonoscopy; Capsule endoscopy; Endoscopy; Large intestine; Purgative.

AIM To assess the cleansing efficacy and safety of a new Colon capsule endoscopy (CCE) bowel preparation regimen. METHODS This was a multicenter, prospective, randomized, controlled study comparing two CCE regimens. Subjects were asymptomatic and average risk for colorectal cancer. The second generation CCE system (PillCam COLON 2; Medtronic, Yoqneam, Israel) was utilized. Preparation regimens differed in the 1st and 2nd boosts with the Study regimen using oral sulfate solution (89 mL) with diatrizoate meglumine and diatrizoate sodium solution (“”diatrizoate solution””) (boost 1 = 60 mL, boost 2 = 30 mL) and the Control regimen oral sulfate solution (89 mL) alone. The primary outcome was overall and segmental colon cleansing. Secondary outcomes included safety, polyp detection, colonic transit, CCE completion and capsule excretion ≤ 12 h. RESULTS Both regimens had similar cleansing efficacy for the whole colon (Adequate: Study = 75.9%, Control = 77.3%; P = 0.88) and individual segments. In the Study group, CCE completion was superior (Study = 90.9%, Control = 76.9%; P = 0.048) and colonic transit was more often < 40 min (Study = 21.8%, Control = 4%; P = 0.0073). More Study regimen subjects experienced adverse events (Study = 19.4%, Control = 3.4%; P = 0.0061), and this difference did not appear related to diatrizoate solution Adverse events were primarily gastrointestinal in nature and no serious adverse events related either to the bowel preparation regimen or the capsule were observed There was a trend toward higher polyp detection with the Study regimen, but this did not achieve statistical significance for any size category. Mean transit time through the entire gastrointestinal tract, from ingestion to excretion, was shorter with the Study regimen while mean colonic transit times were similar for both study groups. CONCLUSION A CCE bowel preparation regimen using oral sulfate solution and diatrizoate solution as a boost agent is effective, safe, and achieved superior CCE completion. Mitkov, Javor published the artcileSynthesis, in silico prediction of sites of metabolism and in-vitro hepatotoxicity evaluation of new series N′-substituted 3-(1,3,7-trimethyl-xanthin-8-ylthio) propanehydrazides, Recommanded Product: 2,3-Dimethoxybenzaldehyde, the main research area is trimethyl xanthinylthio propanehydrazide metabolism invitro hepatotoxicity evaluation.

New series of 3-(1,3,7-trimethyl-xanthin-8-ylthio)propanehydrazide derivatives were designed and synthesized. The targed compounds were obtained in yields of 54 to 100% and their structures were elucidated by FTIR,1H NMR,13C NMR, MS and microanalyses. The tested compounds were subjected to in silico prediction of sites of metabolism (SOMs). The predictions show thatthe main metabolic changes will be primarily related to oxidation of the sulfur atom in the side chain, carried out under the action of CYP2C19, as well as O-demethylation of compounds containing methoxy groups. The N-demethylation of the xanthine fragment was determined to be regulated by CYP1A2, CYP2C9, CYP2D6 and CYP3A4. Theperformed in vitro studies confirmed for two of the tested compounds to be low hepatotoxic, due to the presented prooxidant effects at subcellular level (isolated rat liver microsomes). These results highlight these mols. as promising hydrazide-hydrazone structures for the design of compounds with low hepatotoxicity.
