Gao, Yang published the artcilePractical synthesis of 3-aryl anthranils via an electrophilic aromatic substitution strategy, HPLC of Formula: 151-10-0, the main research area is aryl anthranil preparation chemoselective regioselective green chem; anthranil arene formal oxidative cross coupling triflic anhydride.

A practical route for the synthesis of valuable 3-aryl anthranils from readily available anthranils and simple arenes by using the classical electrophilic aromatic substitution (EAS) strategy was reported. This transformation goes through an electrophilic substitution and rearomatisation sequence by employing Tf2O as an effective activator. A wide range of arenes were compatible in this transformation, delivering various structurally diversified 3-aryl anthranils in good yields and high regioselectivity. In addition, a variety of readily available feedstocks such as olefins, alkenyl triflates, silyl enolethers, carbonyl compounds, thiophenols and thiols could also participate in the reaction to achieve the C3 alkenylation, alkylation and thioetherification of anthranils. Of note, the synthesized 3-aryl anthranils proved to be a highly robust platform to access a series of biol. active compounds, drug derivatives and organic optoelectronic materials.

A triazole-based novel bis Schiff base colorimetric and fluorescent chemosensor (L) has been designed, synthesized and characterized by elemental anal., 1H-NMR, ESI-MS, FTIR spectra and DFT studies. The receptor L showed selective and sensitive colorimetric sensing ability for Cu2+ and Pb2+ ions by changing color from colorless to yellow and light yellow resp. in CH3OH-tris-buffer (1 : 1, volume/volume). However, it displayed strong fluorescence enhancement upon the addition of both Cu2+ and Pb2+ ions, attributed to the blocking of PET. The fluorometric detection limits for Cu2+ and Pb2+ were found to be 12 × 10-7 M and 9 × 10-7 M and the colorimetric detection limits were 3.7 × 10-6 M and 1.2 × 10-6 M resp.; which are far below the permissible concentration in drinking water determined by WHO. Moreover, it was found that chemosensor L worked as a reversible fluorescence probe towards Cu2+ and Pb2+ ions by the accumulation of S2- and EDTA resp. The sensor could work in a pH span of 4.0-12.0. The chemosensor L shows its application potential in the detection of Cu2+ and Pb2+ in real samples, living cells and building of mol. logic gate.

Journal of Natural Products published new progress about Absorption spectra. 1205-17-0 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 2-Methyl-3-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)propionaldehyde, and the molecular formula is C11H12O3, Safety of 2-Methyl-3-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)propionaldehyde.

Wang, Lin published the artcileVisible-Light-Promoted Biomimetic Reductive Functionalization of Quaternary Benzophenanthridine Alkaloids, Safety of 2-Methyl-3-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)propionaldehyde, the main research area is benzophenanthridine alkaloid alkyl dihydropyridine reductive alkylation light.

Reduction of an iminium C=N double bond is the most important phase I metabolism process associated with the cytotoxic property of quaternary benzophenanthridine alkaloids (QBAs). Inspired by the light-mediated reduction of QBAs with NAD, a visible-light-promoted reductive functionalization reaction of QBAs is reported in this study. C4-Alkyl-1,4-dihydropyridines (DHPs) enable the direct reductive alkylation of QBA independently, serving as both single-electron-transfer reductant reagents under irradiation with 455 nm blue light in the absence of photocatalysts and addnl. additives. Our protocol can be further applied to the semisynthesis of natural 6-substituted dihydrobenzophenanthridine derivatives such as O-acetyl maclekarpine E.

Crystal Growth & Design published new progress about Absorption spectra. 1455-77-2 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 3,5-Diamino-1,2,4-triazole, and the molecular formula is C2H5N5, Safety of 3,5-Diamino-1,2,4-triazole.

Manna, Priyanka published the artcileEffect of Hydrogen Bonding on the Luminescence Lifetime and Device Resistance: A Case Study Based on Two New Related Cd-Based Coordination Polymers, Safety of 3,5-Diamino-1,2,4-triazole, the main research area is cadmium coordination polymer hydrogen bonding luminescence device resistance.

Two new coordination polymers of formulas [Cd2(2,3-pzdc)(tz)2] (1) and [Cd2(2,3-pzdc)(dtz)2] (2) {2,3-pzdc = 2,3-pyrazine dicarboxylate, tz = 1,2,4-triazolate, dtz = 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazolate)} were synthesized via hydrothermal techniques. Both the compounds were characterized by single-crystal X-ray anal., powder X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform IR (FTIR), and thermogravimetric anal. (TGA). Single-crystal X-ray anal. shows that both the structures are three-dimensional in nature and connectivity-wise they are similar to each other. In compound 2, the presence of N-H···O hydrogen-bond interactions further stabilized the structure. Aqueous dispersion of both the compounds showed a strong dual emission-one at around 353 nm and another at 369 nm upon excitation at 280 nm. Lifetime studies from time-resolved spectra show 0.82 and 0.60 ns for compound 1 and 2.02 and 1.78 ns for compound 2. The higher lifetimes of the excited states in the case of compound 2 establish the role of hydrogen-bond interactions in reducing the nonradiative decay processes. To explore the junction properties at the Al/material interface of these Schottky barrier diodes, the dark J-V characteristics of both of the devices (ITO/PEDOT/compound 1/Al and ITO/PEDOT/compound 2/Al) were analyzed using the well-known Shockley diode equation. In both the devices (with compound 1 and compound 2), asym. behavior is observed under forward and reverse bias, indicating rectification. However, in the compound 2 device, the overall current magnitude is 10 times higher than that of the compound 1 device. The series resistance extracted for the compound 2 device is â‰?22 times lower than that of the compound 1 device, indicating the higher conductivity of compound 2. This behavior indicates a probable role of hydrogen-bond interactions in the lower resistance and higher conductivity of compound 2 compared to compound 1.

Environmental Science and Pollution Research published new progress about Aliivibrio fischeri. 117-96-4 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is Diatrizoic Acid, and the molecular formula is C11H9I3N2O4, Synthetic Route of 117-96-4.

Bocos, Elvira published the artcileElimination of radiocontrast agent diatrizoic acid by photo-Fenton process and enhanced treatment by coupling with electro-Fenton process, Synthetic Route of 117-96-4, the main research area is diatrizoic acid photoelectro fenton coupling reaction; Activated carbon; Diatrizoic acid; Heterogeneous process; Mineralization; Photo-Fenton; Photoelectro-Fenton.

First, the effect of H2O2 dosage on mineralization efficiency was determined using UV irradiation The system reached a maximum mineralization degree of 60% total organic carbon (TOC) removal at 4 h with 20 mM initial H2O2 concentration while further concentration values led to a decrease in TOC abatement efficiency. Then, the effect of different concentrations of Fenton’s reagents was studied for homogeneous Fenton process. Obtained results revealed that 0.25 mM Fe3+ and 20 mM H2O2 were the best conditions, achieving 80% TOC removal efficiency at 4 h treatment. Furthermore, heterogeneous PF treatment was developed using iron-activated carbon as catalyst. It was demonstrated that this catalyst is a promising option, reaching 67% of TOC removal within 4 h treatment without formation of iron leachate in the medium. In addition, two strategies of enhancement for process efficiency are proposed: coupling of PF with electro-Fenton (EF) process in two ways: photoelectro-Fenton (PEF) or PF followed by EF (PF-EF) treatments, achieving in both cases the complete mineralization of DIA solution within only 2 h. Finally, the Microtox tests revealed the formation of more toxic compounds than the initial DIA during PF process, while, it was possible to reach total mineralization by both proposed alternatives (PEF or PF-EF) and thus to remove the toxicity of DIA solution

Corella Puertas, Elena’s team published research in Science of the Total Environment in 2021-08-15 | CAS: 117-96-4

Science of the Total Environment published new progress about Aliivibrio fischeri. 117-96-4 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is Diatrizoic Acid, and the molecular formula is C11H9I3N2O4, Safety of Diatrizoic Acid.

Corella Puertas, Elena published the artcileDegradation of diatrizoate in a pin-to-liquid plasma reactor, its transformation products and their residual toxicity, Safety of Diatrizoic Acid, the main research area is diatrizoate pin to liquid plasma reactor degradation residual toxicity.

Diatrizoate, a recalcitrant iodinated contrast medium, has been detected in wastewaters and water bodies worldwide, with concentrations in hospital wastewaters in the μg/L range. Considering that conventional wastewater treatment technologies and ozonation fail to adequately remove diatrizoate, there is a need for researching alternative treatment technologies. In the present work, aqueous solutions of diatrizoate were treated in a compact (7.5 mL liquid volume) non-thermal plasma-liquid reactor. Oxygen and air plasmas were used for diatrizoate removal, with oxygen plasma performing better. After 20 min of treatment of 200μg/L diatrizoate in pure water, oxygen led to 90% degradation whereas air achieved only 20% degradation Two diatrizoate concentrations were studied: 10 mg/L to facilitate the identification of transformation products when using an oxygen plasma and 200μg/L, a concentration in the range expected in hospital wastewater. For the oxygen plasma treatment, the energy efficiency for removing diatrizoate was 0.140 g/kWh for C0 = 10 mg/L and 0.006 g/kWh for C0 = 200μg/L. The following transformation products of diatrizoate were identified: m/z 486A, 504A, 504B, 628, 630A, 630B (previously described in literature) and m/z 486B, 550, 555, 565, 578 (novel). Acute toxicity tests on Aliivibrio fischeri revealed no residual toxicity associated to transformation products. Since diatrizoate is a particularly recalcitrant aqueous organic pollutant, its successful removal and the lack of formation of toxic transformation products indicates that the developed plasma-based technol. is promising for treating challenging wastewaters, such as hospital wastewaters.

Matsushita, Taku published the artcileChanges in mutagenicity and acute toxicity of solutions of iodinated X-ray contrast media during chlorination, Quality Control of 117-96-4, the main research area is iodinated X ray contrast media mutagenicity cytotoxicity chlorination; Ames test; Drinking-water treatment; Iopamidol; QSAR; Vibrio fischeri.

In the present study, the effects of chlorination on the mutagenicity (assessed via the Ames assay) and acute toxicity (assessed via a bioluminescence inhibition assay) of solutions containing one of five commonly used iodinated X-ray contrast media (ICM) (iopamidol, iohexol, iopromide, iomeprol, and diatrizoate) were investigated. Of the five ICM tested, only iopamidol was degraded by chlorine. Chlorination of the iopamidol-containing solution induced both mutagenicity and acute toxicity, which increased with chlorination time (up to 96 h). The areas of five out of 54 peaks detected on the LC/MS total ion chromatogram had good correlation (r2 > 0.90) between peak area and observed mutagenicity. To identify possible contributors to the observed mutagenicity, the Ames assay and LC/MS anal. were conducted on samples collected at 48-h chlorination time and extracted under different pH conditions. Of the five peaks, one peak was detected in the sample extracted at pH 7, but this sample was not mutagenic, indicating that the peak was not related to the observed mutagenicity. MS/MS anal. with an orbitrap mass spectrometer of the remaining four peaks revealed that two of the peaks represented the same TP (detected in neg. and pos. ion modes). Finally, three TPs were identified as suspected contributors to the mutagenicity induced by the iopamidol-containing solution after chlorination: 5-[(1,3-dihydroxypropan-2-yl)carbamoyl]-3-[(3-hydroxypropanoyl)oxy]-2,4-diiodobenzoic acid; N-(1,3-dihydroxypropan-2-yl)-3-(2,3-dioxopropyl)-2,4,6-triiodobenzamide; and 3-[(1,3-dihydroxypropan-2-yl)carbamoyl]-5-[(3-hydroxybutanoyl)oxy]-2,4,6-triiodobenzoic acid. Prediction of the mutagenicity potential of these three TPs with a battery of four quant. structure-activity relationship models did not contradict our conclusion that these TPs contributed to the observed mutagenicity.

Water Research published new progress about Anaerobic digesters. 117-96-4 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is Diatrizoic Acid, and the molecular formula is C11H9I3N2O4, Safety of Diatrizoic Acid.

Gonzalez-Gil, Lorena published the artcileBiotransformation of organic micropollutants by anaerobic sludge enzymes, Safety of Diatrizoic Acid, the main research area is biotransformation organic micropollutant anaerobic sludge enzyme; Anaerobic digestion; Degradation; Enzymatic pathways; Enzymatic transformation; Pharmaceuticals; Sewage treatment plant.

Biotransformation of organic micropollutants (OMPs) in wastewater treatment plants ultimately depends on the enzymic activities developed in each biol. process. However, few research efforts have been made to clarify and identify the role of enzymes on the removal of OMPs, which is an essential knowledge to determine the biotransformation potential of treatment technologies. Therefore, the purpose of the present study was to investigate the enzymic transformation of 35 OMPs under anaerobic conditions, which have been even less studied than aerobic systems. Initially, 13 OMPs were identified to be significantly biotransformed (>20%) by anaerobic sludge obtained from a full-scale anaerobic digester, predestining them as potential targets of anaerobic enzymes. Native enzymes were extracted from this anaerobic sludge to perform transformation assays with the OMPs. In addition, the effect of detergents to recover membrane enzymes, as well as the effects of cofactors and inhibitors to promote and suppress specific enzymic activities were evaluated. In total, it was possible to recover enzymic activities towards 10 out of these 13 target OMPs (acetyl-sulfamethoxazole and its transformation product sulfamethoxazole, acetaminophen, atenolol, clarithromycin, citalopram, climbazole, erythromycin, and terbutryn, venlafaxine) as well as towards 8 non-target OMPs (diclofenac, iopamidol, acyclovir, acesulfame, and 4 different hydroxylated metabolites of carbamazepine). Some enzymic activities likely involved in the anaerobic biotransformation of these OMPs were identified. Thereby, this study is a starting point to unravel the still enigmatic biotransformation of OMPs in wastewater treatment systems.
