Manna, Priyanka published the artcileEffect of Hydrogen Bonding on the Luminescence Lifetime and Device Resistance: A Case Study Based on Two New Related Cd-Based Coordination Polymers, Synthetic Route of 1455-77-2, the main research area is cadmium coordination polymer hydrogen bonding luminescence device resistance.

Two new coordination polymers of formulas [Cd2(2,3-pzdc)(tz)2] (1) and [Cd2(2,3-pzdc)(dtz)2] (2) {2,3-pzdc = 2,3-pyrazine dicarboxylate, tz = 1,2,4-triazolate, dtz = 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazolate)} were synthesized via hydrothermal techniques. Both the compounds were characterized by single-crystal X-ray anal., powder X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform IR (FTIR), and thermogravimetric anal. (TGA). Single-crystal X-ray anal. shows that both the structures are three-dimensional in nature and connectivity-wise they are similar to each other. In compound 2, the presence of N-H···O hydrogen-bond interactions further stabilized the structure. Aqueous dispersion of both the compounds showed a strong dual emission-one at around 353 nm and another at 369 nm upon excitation at 280 nm. Lifetime studies from time-resolved spectra show 0.82 and 0.60 ns for compound 1 and 2.02 and 1.78 ns for compound 2. The higher lifetimes of the excited states in the case of compound 2 establish the role of hydrogen-bond interactions in reducing the nonradiative decay processes. To explore the junction properties at the Al/material interface of these Schottky barrier diodes, the dark J-V characteristics of both of the devices (ITO/PEDOT/compound 1/Al and ITO/PEDOT/compound 2/Al) were analyzed using the well-known Shockley diode equation. In both the devices (with compound 1 and compound 2), asym. behavior is observed under forward and reverse bias, indicating rectification. However, in the compound 2 device, the overall current magnitude is 10 times higher than that of the compound 1 device. The series resistance extracted for the compound 2 device is â‰?22 times lower than that of the compound 1 device, indicating the higher conductivity of compound 2. This behavior indicates a probable role of hydrogen-bond interactions in the lower resistance and higher conductivity of compound 2 compared to compound 1.

Sun, Yu’s team published research in Microbial Cell Factories in 2021-12-31 | CAS: 598-50-5

Microbial Cell Factories published new progress about Aspergillus sydowii. 598-50-5 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 1-Methylurea, and the molecular formula is C2H6N2O, Formula: C2H6N2O.

Sun, Yu published the artcileInducing secondary metabolite production of Aspergillus sydowii through microbial co-culture with Bacillus subtilis, Formula: C2H6N2O, the main research area is secondary metabolite Aspergillus sydowii microbial coculture Bacillus subtilis; Aspergillus sydowii; Bacillus subtilis; Co-culture; Natural products.

The co-culture strategy which mimics natural ecol. by constructing an artificial microbial community is a useful tool to activate the biosynthetic gene clusters to generate new metabolites. However, the conventional method to study the co-culture is to isolate and purify compounds separated by HPLC, which is inefficient and time-consuming. Furthermore, the overall changes in the metabolite profile cannot be well characterized. A new approach which integrates computational programs, MS-DIAL, MS-FINDER and web-based tools including GNPS and MetaboAnalyst, was developed to analyze and identify the metabolites of the co-culture of Aspergillus sydowii and Bacillus subtilis. A total of 25 newly biosynthesized metabolites were detected only in co-culture. The structures of the newly synthesized metabolites were elucidated, four of which were identified as novel compounds by the new approach. The accuracy of the new approach was confirmed by purification and NMR data anal. of 7 newly biosynthesized metabolites. The bioassay of newly synthesized metabolites showed that four of the compounds exhibited different degrees of PTP1b inhibitory activity, and compound N2 had the strongest inhibition activity with an IC50 value of 7.967 μM. Co-culture led to global changes of the metabolite profile and is an effective way to induce the biosynthesis of novel natural products. The new approach in this study is one of the effective and relatively accurate methods to characterize the changes of metabolite profiles and to identify novel compounds in co-culture systems.

Jia, Jianhui’s team published research in Journal of Colloid and Interface Science in 2022-12-15 | CAS: 598-50-5

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science published new progress about Core-shell materials. 598-50-5 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 1-Methylurea, and the molecular formula is C2H6N2O, Synthetic Route of 598-50-5.

Jia, Jianhui published the artcileSelf-assembled core-shell clusters in deep eutectic solvents based on tetra-n-alkylammonium cations for high dissolution of strongly hydrogen-bonded small molecules, Synthetic Route of 598-50-5, the main research area is hydrogen bonded compound deep eutectic solvent self assembly; Core–shell clusters; Deep eutectic solvents; High dissolution; Strong hydrogen bonds; TATB.

Strongly hydrogen-bonded compounds such as 1,3,5-triamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene (TATB, an important insensitive high explosive) have excellent stability, but poor solubilities to limit their recrystallization, purification and recycling. In this study, core-shell clusters based on sym. tetra-n-alkylammonium [TTA]+ are designed to provide an inner cavity to incorporate TATB, and thus the clusters can sep. TATB from original hydrogen-bonded networks to increase largely the solubility Based on this design, deep eutectic solvents (DESs) based on [TTA]+ cations are first developed to yield self-assembled core-shell clusters for solubilizing TATB. Ninety-nine DESs based on [TTA]+ were prepared by combining with halide ions and hydrogen bond donors, and TATB’s solubility increases with the formation of core-shell clusters. Tetra-Bu ammonium ([TBA]+)-based DES (CS-1) displays excellent dissolution toward TATB. Room-temperature solubility of TATB in CS-1 with 32.88 mg/mL is about 10 times higher than recently reported ionic liquids and approx. 470 times higher than DMSO. Compared to traditional solvents, CS-1 shows economical and high dissolution ability toward TATB. The dissolution mechanism is demonstrated by exptl. characterizations and theor. calculations After forming Zundel-type complexes between TATB and F-, the complexes as the core are surrounded by [TBA]+ as the shell to yield core-shell clusters through self-assembly of electrostatic interaction.

Polymer published new progress about Antibacterial agents. 1455-77-2 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 3,5-Diamino-1,2,4-triazole, and the molecular formula is C2H5N5, Computed Properties of 1455-77-2.

Nabipour, Hafezeh published the artcileA phosphaphenanthrene-containing vanillin derivative as co-curing agent for flame-retardant and antibacterial epoxy thermoset, Computed Properties of 1455-77-2, the main research area is vanillin derivative curing flame retardant antibacterial epoxy thermoset preparation.

A phosphaphenanthrene-containing vanillin-derived compound (VDG) was synthesized by a one-pot nucleophilic addition reaction from vanillin, 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO), and 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole. The mol. structure of VDG was characterized by Fourier transform IR, and 1H, 13C, and 31P NMR spectrometer. Various loadings of VDG were incorporated into diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) as a co-curing agent together with 4, 4′-diaminodiphenylmethane to produce an epoxy thermoset. The thermomech., thermal and fire-retardant properties of EP thermosets were evaluated by dynamic mech. analyzer, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric anal., limiting oxygen index (LOI), UL-94, and cone calorimetry. The results showed that a linear decrease in glass transition temperature with increasing loading of VDG owing to the declined crosslinking d. The cured DGEBA/DDM system with 2.0 wt% of VDG exhibited super anti-flammability in terms of a high LOI value of 37.0% and UL-94 V-0 rating, whereas the cured DGEBA/DDM and DGEBA/DDM with 2.0 wt% of DOPO systems showed no rating in UL-94 test. In addition, cone calorimetry test showed that the cured DGEBA/DDM system with 2.0 wt% of VDG exhibited a reduction of up to 47.5% and 34% for peak heat release rate and total heat release, resp., compared to the cured DGEBA/DDM system. The enhanced flame-retardant property was attributed to the formation of the compact and continual structure of char layer residue with good thermo-oxidative stability. In addition to good anti-flammability, the cured DGEBA/DDM/VDG thermoset showed antibacterial property against E. coli, with an inhibition zone diameter of 10 mm. Thus, this bio-based co-curing agent could impart flame-retardant and antibacterial performance to epoxy for developing high performance functional thermosetting materials.

Cotton fabrics are prone to ignite fire accidents as well as breed bacteria and fungi, which have hampered their applications in the field of packaging and home decorations. Guanazole complexes with silver and zinc ions were deposited to cotton fabrics through self-assembly to prepare the flame-retardant and antibacterial cotton fabrics. The effect of the guanazole-metal complexes on the morphol. structure, flammability and thermal degradation of cotton fabrics was studied by field emission SEM, limiting oxygen index (LOI), UL-94 vertical burning test, and thermogravimetric anal. The antibacterial and antifungal activities of the coated fabrics were evaluated as well. The guanazole-zinc and guanazole-silver treated cotton fabrics showed a high LOI of 29.5% and 27.5%, resp. In the vertical burning test, both the guanazole-zinc and guanazole-silver treated cotton fabrics self-extinguished when removing the ignition source, displaying a UL-94 V-0 classification, while the untreated one and the guanazole-treated one burned out. Thermogravimetric anal. results confirmed that the guanazole-metal complexes promoted the thermal decomposition of cotton and thus improved the char yield significantly. Micro-scale combustion calorimeter measurements clarified that the guanazole-zinc and guanazole-silver treated cotton displayed dramatically decreased peak heat release rate (64.4% and 59.1%, resp.) and total heat release (26.4% and 14.8%, resp.) in comparison to the untreated one. The significantly improved flame retardancy of guanazole-metal complexes treated cotton fabrics could be attributed to their enhanced charring capability that blocked flammable volatiles into flame zone. The treated cotton fabrics with guanazole-metal complexes exhibited better antibacterial capacity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli than the untreated and guanazole-treated ones. Furthermore, the guanazole-silver treated cotton fabrics also showed good antifungal activity against Penicillium, Fusarium chlamydosporum and Aspergillus niger.
