Simple procedure, high yields, short reaction times and an environmentally benign method are advantages of this protocol. The [(EtO)3Si(CH2)3NH3+][CH3COO-] can be recovered and reused several times without loss of its activity.

A simple reaction and work-up procedure for the synthesis of new un-known compounds I and II using a green and reusable ionic liquid as catalyst under solvent-free and thermal conditions was reported. The easy preparation of ionic liquid was superiority of the mentioned basic ionic liquid This protocol has various advantages such as short reaction times, excellent yields, no column chromatog., and green environmentally safe media.

This new ternary nanocomposite’s catalytic ability was examined in the three-component condensation of aromatic aldehydes, dimedone and 5-amino-3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazole to synthesize pyrazolo[3,4-b]quinolone derivatives I [R = 2,3-(OMe)2, 2-F, 2-NO2, 3-Br, 3-Cl] in impressive yields (91-95%) with short reaction times (ca.15 min) in the green solvent EtOH at room temperature The synergy between the Lewis acidic and basic sites contributed to the nanocomposite’s effectiveness. Recyclability with consistent activity (>5 times) was the added advantage of the Ti/FAp/MWCNTs nanocomposite.

This catalyst has been successfully used in multicomponent synthesis of dihydrotetrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines, dihydrotetrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-6-carboxylates and tetrahydrotetrazolo[5,1-b]quinazolinones under solvent-free conditions. The structure of the catalyst was confirmed by characterization techniques, such as FT-IR, TGA, SEM-EDX, elemental mapping, TEM, VSM and elemental anal. Moreover, this unique catalyst was found to be effective in up to six cycles. Recyclability of the catalyst, excellent yields of the products, short reaction time and clean reaction profile are the advantages of the present protocol.
