Bradu, Dan published the artcileBiosimilar branded iodinated contrast agents related to the largest number of reports to the WHO-Pharmacovigilance System over the first 40 years of the programme, Recommanded Product: Diatrizoic Acid, the main research area is biosimilar iodinated contrast agent.

Anal. of the side-events, and suspicious or confirmed adverse drug reactions (SADRs), accounting for a total of 67,232 reports, based on the model and on a Matlab program (as described in the fourth contribution of our current series) showed broadly inhomogeneous profiles of all of the 10 products categorized as “”biosimilar”” that have been the object of the largest number of reports in the first 40 years of the WHO Pharmacovigilance Program. The anal. highlighted striking differences both when they were subdivided into system-organ class disorders (SOCDs) or studied together, and when they were analyzed in terms of five pairs of biosimilars and their resp., agreed, generic reference products. These conclusions add to the data, already reported by the authors, of the preclin. experiments and the pre-marketing conventional standardized clin. trials regulations.

New Phytologist published new progress about Bags (Mesh). 598-50-5 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 1-Methylurea, and the molecular formula is C2H6N2O, Application of 1-Methylurea.

Hogberg, Mona N. published the artcileCarbon-nitrogen relations of ectomycorrhizal mycelium across a natural nitrogen supply gradient in boreal forest, Application of 1-Methylurea, the main research area is boreal forest ectomycorrhizal mycelium carbon nitrogen relation; Betsele N supply gradient; boreal forest; carbon limitation; ectomycorrhizal fungi; extramatrical ectomycorrhizal mycelium; natural abundance of 13C and 15N; nitrogen limitation; stable isotope mixing model analysis.

The supply of carbon (C) from tree photosynthesis to ectomycorrhizal (ECM) fungi is known to decrease with increasing plant nitrogen (N) supply, but how this affects fungal nutrition and growth remains to be clarified. We placed mesh-bags with quartz sand, with or without an organic N (15N-, 13C-labeled) source, in the soil along a natural N supply gradient in boreal forest, to measure growth and use of N and C by ECM extramatrical mycelia. Mycelial C : N declined with increasing N supply. Addition of N increased mycelial growth at the low-N end of the gradient. We found an inverse relationship between uptake of added N and C; the use of added N was high when ambient N was low, whereas use of added C was high when C from photosynthesis was low. We propose that growth of ECM fungi is N-limited when soil N is scarce and tree belowground C allocation to ECM fungi is high, but is C-limited when N supply is high and tree belowground C allocation is low. This suggests that ECM fungi have a major role in soil N retention in nutrient-poor, but less so in nutrient-rich boreal forests.

Owusu, Margaret’s team published research in Journal of Food Science and Technology (New Delhi, India) in 2013 | CAS: 21834-92-4

Journal of Food Science and Technology (New Delhi, India) published new progress about Astringency. 21834-92-4 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 5-Methyl-2-phenylhex-2-enal, and the molecular formula is C13H16O, Application In Synthesis of 21834-92-4.

Owusu, Margaret published the artcileRelationship of sensory and instrumental aroma measurements of dark chocolate as influenced by fermentation method, roasting and conching conditions, Application In Synthesis of 21834-92-4, the main research area is aroma flavor fermentation roasting conching dark chocolate; Chocolate; Conching; Flavor attributes; Heap-fermented; Roasting; Tray-fermented.

The investigation was undertaken to establish a relationship between key odorants and perceived flavor attributes of dark chocolate as influenced by cocoa fermentation method, roasting and conching conditions, using multivariate data anal. in an attempt to use one variable to predict the other. Eight of the sixteen flavor attributes used by a trained sensory panel to describe and quantify the intensity of attributes in the samples were significantly different (p<0.05). Roasting significantly reduced astringency in heap-fermented samples but the reduction in tray-fermented samples was not significant. Unconched samples were rated higher in banana attribute than conched samples. Multivariate data anal. tools, Principal Component Anal. (PCA) and Partial Least Squares (PLS) were used to investigate quant. descriptive anal. and GC-O data and also to relate the two sets of data. PLS 1 models based on single sensory attributes gave better models than PLS2 models based on all sixteen sensory attributes. Ethyl-3-methylbutanoate (fruity, flowery); 2,5-dimethylpyrazine (popcorn); dihydro-2(3H)-furanone, (sweet); linalool oxide (sweet, flowery); benzaldehyde (earthy, nutty) and 2/3-methylbutanal (cocoa, roasted) modeled fruit attribute. It was also possible to model the attribute astringent from the aroma compounds 5-methyl-2-phenyl-2-hexenal (sweet, roasted cocoa), ethyl-3-methylbutanoate and pentyl acetate (green, cucumber). Since fruit attribute was higher in unconched samples and astringent higher in unroasted samples, it may be possible to use the levels of these important aroma compounds as indicators of the sensory attributes fruit and astringent. Cai, Jing published the artcileCorrelation Analysis of Microbiota and Volatile Flavor Compounds of Caishiji Soybean Paste, HPLC of Formula: 21834-92-4, the main research area is volatile flavor compound microbiota soybean paste.

Microbial diversity plays a crucial part in the fermentation of Caishiji soybean paste (CSP). In the current study, the microbiota and volatile flavor compounds (VFCs) in CSP were identified through Illumina MiSeq sequencing and headspace gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry. Five bacterial (Bacillus, Tetragenococcus, Salinivibrio, Halomonas, and Staphylococcus) and four fungal genera (Aspergillus, Debaryomyces, Nigrospora, and Curvularia) were revealed as dominant among the entire microbiome of CSP. More than 70 VFCs, including 8 acids, 15 esters, 8 alcs., 14 aldehydes, 4 ketones, 5 phenols, and 20 miscellaneous VFCs were detected during the fermentation process. A total of 12 kinds of VFCs were identified in the odor activity value (OAV) anal. The results of the correlation anal. between microbiota and VFCs indicated that Bacillus, Tetragenococcus, Staphylococcus, and Aspergillus were the main microbiota affecting the flavor of CSP. These results may serve as a reference for enhancing the quality of CSP.

Environmental Science & Technology published new progress about Antibiotics. 117-96-4 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is Diatrizoic Acid, and the molecular formula is C11H9I3N2O4, Category: isoquinoline.

Wenk, Jannis published the artcileEffect of dissolved organic matter on the transformation of contaminants induced by excited triplet states and the hydroxyl radical, Category: isoquinoline, the main research area is dissolved organic matter transformation contaminant excited triplet state; organic matter transformation contaminant excited triplet state hydroxyl radical.

Dissolved organic matter (DOM) has recently been shown to reduce the transformation rate of various aqueous organic contaminants submitted to oxidation by excited triplet states, apparently by inhibiting the transformation of oxidation intermediates. The goals were to evaluate the effect of concentration and type of DOM on the triplet-induced transformation rate of 4 selected organics and to check for an analogous inhibition effect in the case of oxidation induced by hydroxyl radical. A marked inhibition by DOM of triplet-induced oxidation was observed for N,N-dimethylaniline (DMA) and the 2 antibiotics sulfamethoxazole (SMX) and trimethoprim (TRI), with DOM of terrestrial origin being a more effective inhibitor than DOM of aquatic origin. The results are important to understand the role of DOM both as a photosensitizer and as an inhibitor for the triplet-induced transformation of aquatic contaminants. In contrast, no DOM-induced reduction in 2nd-order rate constant could be observed in competition kinetics experiments for the reaction of hydroxyl radical with a series of 15 organics, covering several classes of aromatic contaminants, indicating that Suwannee River fulvic acid used as reference DOM does not affect this reaction mechanism.

Desalination and Water Treatment published new progress about Antibiotics. 117-96-4 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is Diatrizoic Acid, and the molecular formula is C11H9I3N2O4, Application of Diatrizoic Acid.

Lipp, P. published the artcileRemoval of organic micro-pollutants during drinking water treatment by nanofiltration and reverse osmosis, Application of Diatrizoic Acid, the main research area is organic micro pollutant nanofiltration reverse osmosis drinking water purification.

A study on a flat sheet membrane test unit for nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO) with synthetic and natural waters was carried out in order to evaluate the performance of four NF/RO membranes for the removal of selected organic micro-pollutants. The influence of mol. weight and membrane material on removal efficiencies was shown. Perfluorinated compounds and X-ray contrast agents with mol. weights larger than 300 g/mol are rejected to a percentage of more than 90%. Pharmaceuticals and antibiotics show rejection values larger than 60%. For the substances with a mol. weight between 100 and 200 g/mol there is a large range of rejection values depending on the membrane type. RO membranes usually achieve higher rejection values than NF membranes. Rejection also depends on the type of organic micro-pollutant. Although NF/RO membranes do not reject substances selectively, NF/RO is a suitable treatment technol. for their removal if this is desired. However, it has to be considered that water composition is changed drastically by NF/RO such that a post treatment of the permeate may be required to keep up with the drinking water standards For full-scale application also the dosage of antiscalants has to be taken into account. In Germany there is a lively discussion about the discharge of concentrates when authorities have to decide on the realization of NF/RO plants.

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry published new progress about Antibiotics. 117-96-4 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is Diatrizoic Acid, and the molecular formula is C11H9I3N2O4, Computed Properties of 117-96-4.

Morasch, Barbara published the artcileOccurrence and fate of micropollutants in the Vidy Bay of Lake Geneva, Switzerland. Part II: micropollutant removal between wastewater and raw drinking water, Computed Properties of 117-96-4, the main research area is micropollutant Vidy Bay Lake Geneva Switzerland; wastewater pharmaceutical endocrine disruptor corrosion inhibitor biocide pesticide; drinking water pharmaceutical endocrine disruptor corrosion inhibitor biocide pesticide.

The occurrence and removal of 58 pharmaceuticals, endocrine disruptors, corrosion inhibitors, biocides, and pesticides, were assessed in the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) of the city of Lausanne, Switzerland, as well as in the effluent-receiving water body, the Vidy Bay of Lake Geneva. An anal. screening method to simultaneously measure all of the 58 micropollutants was developed based on ultra performance liquid chromatog. coupled to a tandem mass spectrometer (UPLC-MS/MS). The selection of pharmaceuticals was primarily based on a prioritization study, which designated them as environmentally relevant for the Lake Geneva region. Except for the endocrine disruptor 17α-ethinylestradiol, all substances were detected in 24-h composite samples of wastewater entering the WWTP or in the treated effluent. Of these compounds, 40% were also detected in raw drinking water, pumped from the lake 3 Km downstream of the WWTP. The contributions of dilution and degradation to micropollutant elimination between the WWTP outlet and the raw drinking water intake were established in different model scenarios using hypothetical residence times of the wastewater in Vidy Bay of 1, 4, or 90 days. Concentration decrease due to processes other than dilution was observed for diclofenac, beta-blockers, several antibiotics, corrosion inhibitors, and pesticides. Measured environmental concentrations (MECs) of pharmaceuticals were compared to the predicted environmental concentrations (PECs) determined in the prioritization study and agreed within one order of magnitude, but MECs were typically greater than the corresponding PECs. Predicted no-effect concentrations of the analgesic paracetamol, and the 2 antibiotics ciprofloxacin and sulfamethoxazole, were exceeded in raw drinking water samples and therefore present a potential risk to the ecosystem.
