Grell, Yvonne published the artcileEnantioselective α-Fluorination and α-Chlorination of N-Acyl Pyrazoles Catalyzed by a Non-C2-Symmetric Chiral-at-Rhodium Catalyst, Application In Synthesis of 104-01-8, the main research area is chiral rhodium catalyst preparation; fluorinated alpha chlorinated acyl pyrazole enantioselective preparation; acyl pyrazole chiral rhodium catalyst fluorination chlorination.

A non-C2-sym. and sterically demanding chiral-at-rhodium catalyst was demonstrated to efficiently catalyze the highly enantioselective α-fluorination [up to >99% enantiomeric excess (ee)] and α-chlorination (up to 98% ee) of N-acyl pyrazoles to afford α-fluorinated/chlorinated N-acyl pyrazoles I [R = Pr, Ph, 3-thienyl, ets.; R1 = F, Cl] in high yields. Based on two sterically distinct cyclometalating ligands, the nonracemic rhodium(III) catalyst could conveniently be accessed in an enantiomerically pure fashion (>99% ee) via an established auxiliary-mediated approach. Comparison of the catalytic performance with the related C2-sym. rhodium catalysts revealed the explicit superiority of the non-C2-sym. design for the presented α-halogenation reactions, which were generally featured by a very simple synthetic protocol.

Functionalities including chloro, bromo, fluoro, trifluoromethyl, and pyridyl groups were compatible with reaction conditions. High yields and excellent regioselectivities were obtained even if meta-substituted ketoxime acetates were used. Et esters of heteroarylacetic acids were competent substrates, which is very rare in the literature. Yazdanseta, Saeed published the artcileAnchoring Cu (II) on Fe3O4@ SiO2/Schiff base: a green, recyclable, and extremely efficient magnetic nanocatalyst for the synthesis of 2-amino-4H-chromene derivatives, Synthetic Route of 86-51-1, the main research area is preparation copper iron oxide silica Schiff green recyclable nanocatalyst; thermal decomposition copper iron oxide silica Schiff recyclable nanocatalyst; aromatic aldehyde preparation; copper iron oxide silica Schiff recyclable nanocatalyst.

Abstract: a novel water-soluble Salen type Cu(II) Schiff base complex functionalized silica-coated magnetite nanoparticles [Fe3O4@SiO2/Schiff base of Cu(II)] was synthesized and characterized. First, an immobilized water-soluble Schiff base was synthesized from the condensation reaction between 3-amino Pr triethoxy silane (APTES) functionalized silica-coated magnetite nanoparticles and a water-soluble aldehyde (sodium salicylaldehyde-5-sulfonate monohydrate). After that, functionalized Schiff base was converted to functionalized Cu(II) Schiff base complex as the result of reaction with Cu(II) acetate tetrahydrate. The structural and magnetic properties of the prepared compounds were identified by FTIR, XRD, SEM, EDX, TEM, VSM, and TGA. The catalytic activity of the novel nanocatalyst was studied for the preparation of 2-amino-4H-chromene derivatives through an one-pot, three-component reaction of dimedone, aromatic aldehydes, and malononitrile, in the presence of catalytic amounts of the Fe3O4@SiO2/Schiff base of Cu(II) nanocatalyst in water and at room temperature The 2-amino-4H-chromene derivatives were obtained in good to excellent yields. Furthermore, because of the solubility of metal Schiff base complexes in water, the nanocatalyst dispersed in water easily without using ultrasonic or shaker.
