Coulteroberbinone, a quaternary isoquinoline alkaloid from Romneya coulteri
Two quaternary isoquinoline alkaloids, benzylisoquinolinium (+)-escholinine and a new 13-oxo-tetrahydroprotoberberinium salt, were isolated from Romneya coulteri leaves. The trivial name (-)-coulteroberbinone was assigned to the new alkaloid. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
