The solid were dried under high vacuo to obtain 18 6-bromo-1-deuterio-isoquinolin-3-amine (XI) (115 mg, 0.513 mmol, 31.0% yield) as a pale yellow solid. 1H NMR (500 MHz, DMSO-d6) delta ppm 6.11 (2H, s), 6.55 (1H, s), 7.22 (1H, dd, J=8.78, 1.92 Hz), 7.73 (1H, d, J=8.51 Hz), 7.79 (1H, d, J=1.92 Hz); ESIMS found for C9H6DBrN2 m/z 224.0 (79BrM+H).
