Chemistry is an experimental science, and the best way to enjoy it and learn about it is performing experiments. Formula: C11H13NO2. Introducing a new discovery about 3382-18-1, Name is 6,7-Dimethoxy-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline
Reaction of 2-carboethoxybenzoyl chloride with 3,4-dihydro-6,7-dimethoxyisoquinoline afforded a ring open aldehydic phtalimide (3) which on thioacetal formation and photocyclisation followed by deketalisation gave 8,14-dioxo-13-hydroxyaporhoeadane (8).
Note that a catalyst decreases the activation energy for both the forward and the reverse reactions and hence accelerates both the forward and the reverse reactions.Formula: C11H13NO2, you can also check out more blogs about3382-18-1
