4-Iodoisoquinoline (cas: 55270-33-2) belongs to isoquinoline derivatives. The isoquinoline structure occurs in a considerable number of alkaloids in widely separated plant families. Other industrial applications include their use as corrosion inhibitors, preservatives, and as solvents for resins and terpenes.Name: 4-Iodoisoquinoline

[2,3-Bis-(2-pyridyl)pyrazine] as an Efficient Organocatalyst for the Direct C(sp2)-H Arylation of Unactivated Arenes/Heteroarenes via C-H Bond Activation was written by Tiwari, Mohit K.;Yadav, Lalit;Chaudhary, Sandeep. And the article was included in ChemistrySelect in 2020.Name: 4-Iodoisoquinoline This article mentions the following:

The identification of 2,3-bis-(2-pyridyl)pyrazine as a new organocatalyst was reported, which had been utilized for the direct cross-coupling reactions of an aryl halides with unactivated arenes via C(sp2)-H bond activation. This transition metal-free C-H arylation of unactivated benzene with aryl halides underwent smoothly with only 10 mol% of an organocatalyst and in the presence of 3 equiv of potassium tert-butoxide base which furnished a library of biaryls PhR [R = 4-MeC6H4, 2-ClC6H4, 3-pyridyl, etc.] in up to 98% excellent yield under milder reaction conditions. The mechanistic pathway involved in-situ formation of aryl radical anion intermediate and progressed via a single electron transfer (SET) mechanism. The wide substrate scope, high functional group forbearance, control/competition experiments, gram-scale synthesis and kinetic studies signified the prominence and useful nature of the protocol along with the steadiness of the novel organocatalyst. In the experiment, the researchers used many compounds, for example, 4-Iodoisoquinoline (cas: 55270-33-2Name: 4-Iodoisoquinoline).
