To investigate the effect of fasudil hydrochloride on the level of serum lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) in patients with acute anterior circulation infarction, a total of 47 patients with acute anterior circulation infarction were randomly divided into fasudil group (n=23) and routine treatment group(n=24). Patients in routine treatment group were given routine treatment, and patients in fasudil group were given fasudil hydrochloride 30 mg, i.v. drip, twice a day for 14 days on the basis of traditional treatment. 4 ML of venous blood samples was taken to measure the levels of LPA before and after treatment. Results showed that the LPA levels in both groups were decreased after 14 days of treatment (P<0.05). However, the indicator in the fasudil group were improved more significantly compared with the routine treatment group (P<0.05). In summary, fasudil could decrease the levels of serum LPA and improve patient’s prognosis.
