The effects of some herbicides (TOK, KN3, dichlobenil, Pyridinol, molinate, EPTC/2,4-D, trifluralin) and herbicides combinations (Pyridinol + MCPA, dichlobenil + MCPA, dichlobenil, KN3 + MCPA, and molinate + MCPA) on the control of weeds in rice paddies were studied. TOK, KN3, and dichlobenil controlled weeds the best, EPTC/2,4-D and trifluralin showed good results; but Pyridinol and molinate controlled poorly. In general, chems. followed by MCPA showed better control than those applied alone. MCPA + handweeding also gave satisfactory results. The rice plant was injured by Pyridinol, TOK, EPTC/2,4-D and late application of MCPA. Weeded check, Pyridinol + MCPA, dichlobenil + MCPA, dichlobenil, KN3 + MCPA, and Molinate + MCPA outyielded the nonweeded check.
