A study of 24 herbicides was made on a native grass-sedge vegetation. Granular and spray applications made at 3 dosage levels were evaluated over a 3-year period for duration and degree of total vegetation control. The herbicides included Daxtron [1970-40-7], a mixture of Daxtron and Tordon (picloram) [1918-02-1], Hyvar X (bromacil) [314-40-9], Urox 379 [140-41-0], Tandex [4849-32-5], Ansar 170 [2163-80-6], Dowpon [127-20-8], mixture of Dowpon and Phytar [75-60-5], Chlorea [8012-55-3], Chlorvar [8012-58-6], Tordon, Telvar [150-68-5], Urox 22 [140-41-0], Pramitol [1610-18-0], M 3190X [11126-71-9], and Phytar. Soil samples showed no residues of bromacil, Tandex, or picloram in anal. by bioassay.
