Most of the natural products isolated at present are heterocyclic compounds, so heterocyclic compounds occupy an important position in the research of organic chemistry. A compound: 1970-40-7, is researched, SMILESS is OC1=C(Cl)C(Cl)=NC=C1Cl, Molecular C5H2Cl3NOJournal, Weed Science called Control of quack grass with pyriclor, Author is Buchholtz, Kenneth P., the main research direction is grasses herbicide; herbicide grasses.COA of Formula: C5H2Cl3NO.
Quack grass (Agropyron repens) was controlled with applications 1 to 8 months prior to plowing and planting of from 1 to 4 lb./acre 2,3,5-trichloro-4-pyridinol (pyriclor). Corn (Zea mays hybrid W530) planted on pyriclor-treated plots grew normally and yielded as well as on plots given the standard preplow treatment of 2 lb./acre of 2-chloro-4-ethylamino-6-isopropylamino-s-triazine (atrazine). Oats (Avena sativa var Portage) was injured by soil residues of pyriclor from 2 lb./acre applications made 20 months previously. Alfalfa (Medicago sativa var Vernal) was somewhat more tolerant of pyriclor than was oats.
