Dong, Jian-Yang published the artcileVisible-light-mediated deuteration of aldehydes with D2O via polarity-matched reversible hydrogen atom transfer, Category: isoquinoline, the main research area is benzaldehyde heavy water thiol photoredox catalyst regioselective deuteration; deuterobenzaldehyde preparation.
A mild, general protocol for visible-light-mediated metal-free deuteration of aldehydes in D2O with synergistic photoredox and thiol catalysis was reported. The protocol was highly efficient, had a broad substrate scope, and shows excellent functional group tolerance and selectivity, all of which make it suitable for generating libraries of deuterated compounds The efficient deuteration was attributed to a photoredox-catalyzed polarity-matched reversible hydrogen atom transfer reaction between the aldehydes and the thiol.
Tetrahedron published new progress about Deuteration catalysts (photochem./regioselective). 1205-17-0 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 2-Methyl-3-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)propionaldehyde, and the molecular formula is C11H12O3, Category: isoquinoline.
