Shen, Zhenpeng published the artcileIron-Promoted Decarboxylation of Arylacetic Acids for the Synthesis of Aromatic Nitriles with Sodium Nitrite as the Nitrogen Source, Product Details of C9H10O3, the main research area is aromatic nitrile preparation; arylacetic acid decarboxylation iron catalyst.
A new and effective method was developed for the synthesis of aromatic nitriles ArCN (Ar = 4-chlorophenyl, naphthalen-1-yl, thiophen-2-yl, etc.) (I) from arylacetic acids ArCH2C(O)OH (II) by using NaNO2 as the nitrogen source and Fe(OTf)3 as the promoter at 50°C. A series of arylacetic acids II underwent this transformation to give the targeted products I in yields of 51-90%. Because of the mild conditions, the reaction is compatible with a broad range of functional groups, including ester, carboxy, hydroxy, acetamido, halo, nitro, cyano, methoxy, and even highly reactive formyl groups.
Synlett published new progress about Aromatic carboxylic acids Role: RCT (Reactant), RACT (Reactant or Reagent). 104-01-8 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 4-Methoxyphenylacetic acid, and the molecular formula is C9H10O3, Product Details of C9H10O3.
