1,3-DIPOLAR CYCLOADDITION SYNTHESES OF 3,3′-BI(2-PYRAZOLINES, 3,3′-BIPYRAZOLES AND 3,3′-BI(1,2,4-TRIAZOLES)
3.3′-bi(2-pyrazolines, 4,6 and 8, and 3,3′-bi(1,2,4-triazolo<3,4-a>isoquinolines), 13-16, have been prepared in good yields via 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions of bis(arylnitrilimines), 3, with acrylonitrile, acrylamide, benzalacetophenone and 3,4-dihydriisoquinolines, 12, respectively. 3,3′-bipyrazoles 10 and 11 have been prepared in excellent yields by reaction of 3 with dibenzoylmethane and benzoylacetonitrile, respectively.The regiochemistry of the cycloadducts is discussed.
