Target mols. based on imidazothiazole-chalcone derivatives I (R1 = H, OH, NO2, MeO; R2 = H, OH, NO2, MeO, Br, Cl, Me) and imidazothiazole-pyrimidine derivatives II were synthesized. Chalcone series of compounds I was synthesized by reaction between 2-(4-methoxybenzyl)-6-(2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl)imidazo[2,1-b][1,3,4]thiadiazole-5-carbaldehyde and various substituted acetophenones 4-R2-3-R1C6H3C(O)Me and these chalcones I were converted into pyrimidine series II. These derivatives of chalcones and pyrimidine were examined in vitro for antimicrobial and antifungal activities against clin. isolated strains and their characterization was confirmed by FTIR, 1H-NMR, 13C and LCMS.
