Pandey, Sushil K.’s team published research in Journal of Organic Chemistry in 2007-09-28 | CAS: 1205-17-0

Journal of Organic Chemistry published new progress about Aldehydes Role: RCT (Reactant), RACT (Reactant or Reagent). 1205-17-0 belongs to class isoquinoline, name is 2-Methyl-3-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)propionaldehyde, and the molecular formula is C11H12O3, HPLC of Formula: 1205-17-0.

Pandey, Sushil K. published the artcileTerminal Olefins from Aldehydes through Enol Triflate Reduction, HPLC of Formula: 1205-17-0, the main research area is aldehyde enolization trifluoromethanesulfonation reduction; enol triflate reduction; terminal olefin preparation.

The transformation of aldehydes into terminal olefins through reduction of the corresponding enol triflates is described. The method is effective with both linear and α-branched aldehydes. Thus, PhCHMeCHO reacted with (F3CCO)2O in ClCH2CH2Cl containing 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylpyridine at 70° for one hour to give a crude enol triflate which was directly treated with HCO2H in DMF containing Pd(OAc)2(PPh3)2 and Bu3N to give 65% PhC(Me):CH2.
