Mazodze, C. Munashe published the artcileSilver-catalysed double decarboxylative addition-cyclization-elimination cascade sequence for the synthesis of quinolin-2-ones, Related Products of isoquinoline, the main research area is quinolinone green preparation; oxamic acid acrylic double decarboxylative addition cyclization elimination cascade.

An atom-efficient silver-catalyzed double carboxylative strategy for the one-step synthesis of quinolin-2-ones I [R1 = H, Me, CF3; R2 = H, Me; R1R2 = CH2CH2CH2, CH2(CH2)2CH2; R3 = Me, Bn, Ph, etc.; R4 = H, 6-F, 6-OMe, etc.] via an addition-cyclization-elimination cascade sequence of oxamic acids to acrylic acids, mediated either thermally or photochem., was reported. The reaction was applicable to the synthesis of a broad range of quinolin-2-ones and featured a double-disconnection approach that constructed the quinolin-2-one core via the formal and direct addition of a C(sp2)-H/C(sp2)-H olefin moiety to a phenylformamide precursor.
